Aqua Connect allows them to simplify their end user operating environment and reduce costs

Amsterdams NME Centrum had a need to have their employees that worked from home be able to connect to the same Mac machine concurrently. They set out to find software that would help them achieve their goal.

They installed Aqua Connect Remote Desktop Services on a 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Mac mini Server with 8 GB of RAM. For clients, their users connected via either a Mac or a Windows machine. The Mac users use the server to access FileMaker and Mail. The Windows users connect to the server to use Windows loaded on Parallels. They primarily use FileMaker and Outlook, which is loaded in the virtual environment.

With the addition of the Aqua Connect software to their computing environment, their employees can now work from home. The only other alternative they tried was just having multiple accounts open under Mac OS. The problem with that was that it used too much memory to be practical in the long-term.
